Water rarely comes through the ceiling directly under the problem. It runs along felt and timbers first, so the stain you can see may be a metre or more from the tile, flashing or joint that has failed. We trace the leak back to where it actually starts, explain what we found and fix that, rather than guessing and coming back.
Many repairs are small jobs: slipped, cracked or missing tiles and slates replaced, ridge and hip tiles re-bedded, verges secured, lead flashings dressed back or renewed, and loose pointing and flaunching on chimneys put right. Flat roofs in felt, EPDM rubber and GRP fibreglass are patched or partly relaid where only one area has gone.
